Turns.
the Basic turn - makes a trickling sound like trickling water. This has a meditative effect. To use this mode, turn the gear whilst holding the base with the eko word right- reading (word facing up)
the Pen click - makes a clicking noise like a pen. It provides a sound to focus on and the opportunity to create your own beat and rhythm. Also helps if you want to release tension and are feeling anxious.
the Silent mode turn - to do this mode, turn the gear whilst holding the base with the eko word facing upside-down.

Twirls.
how to twirl - place the eko base in the palm of your hand with the word ‘eko’ facing downwards. Place the flat side of the gear on the bottom of the base. Start twirling!
start slowly by tilting your hand down slightly to the left or right in a sweeping motion, followed by a circular motion. Many people find this easier if they keep their lower arm at a 90-degree angle to their body and create a circular motion moving from the elbow.

Breath.
breath 1 - to keep the gear spinning continuously, blow on the side of the teeth, on the eko gear and hold the base close to your mouth and blow gently. Let it spin, before you spin it and make sure that you place you index finger on the ‘eko’ logo and your thumb on the bottom of the base with the base facing up. Try counting 1-2-3 when inhaling, then hold 1-2-3 and exhale 1-2-3, and repeat this until you start feeling relaxed and more present in the moment
breath 2 - turn the base, so that the bottom of the base is facing up. Place your index finger and your middle finger on the bottom of the base and your thumb on the 'eko' logo. To keep the gear spinning continuously, blow on the side of the teeth where the teeth hits the bottom of the base, hold the base close to your mouth and blow gently let it spin. Try counting 1-2-3 when inhaling, then hold 1-2-3 and exhale 1-2-3, and repeat this until you start feeling relaxed and more present in the moment
It is important when doing breath work to take regular breaks. Remember it's a slow process.
